Spa Treatments

You can never go wrong with a spa gift card. TRUST US! A quiet, relaxing, child-free day at the spa is exactly what we need to recharge after chasing around tiny humans 24/7. If you live in the Chicagoland area check out Kohler Spa, Cowshed and AIRE Ancient Baths. They offer a variety of services from maniure/pedicures to massages to facials! There is definitely something for everyone.

Florals

Flowers, a classic gift idea that never fails. There are very few people who don't love the sight and scent of fresh florals in their home! The great thing about purchasing flowers is there are several online options for gifting distant caregivers. We always try to find a local shop that delivers too (thanks Google for the help)! Our go-to in Chicago is Steve's Flower Market.

Jewelry

Everyone has a different sense of style and jewelry is no exception. We love the following pieces that can be personalized for anyone on your list! The companies we found range in price and fit everyone's budget. For the glamorous women in your life check out Dana Rebecca Initial Rings, Dana Rebecca Bar Necklace (can be personalized), and Lula by Sam Lula budget friendly stunners. You've heard us mention Nic N Bella bracelets several times because they are our favorite stack company. We wear our custom bracelets daily! Check out thier instagram and website for personalized options. Hipvana has great gifts for the free-spirited, boho chic moms out there. Their handcrafted pieces are unique, cool, and should bring good vibes to those who wear them. The crystal studs are swoon worthy! We really love wearing our children's birthstones too. You can't go wrong with a pair of earrings, a ring, bracelet or necklace that incoporates the beautiful sentimental gems. Name and initial necklaces are a wonderful personalized gift option. We have personally ordered a name necklace from CentimeGift on Etsy and we were impressed with their customer service, quality and turn time. They have a wide range of styles and personalized options to choose from.

Hair Care

A great way to support a local and small business this Mother's Day is to purchase a gift card from the salon your giftee frequents. Maybe this will push them to try something new or purchase an add on treatment they would typically skip. A day at the salon is comparable to a spa day. No kids while we get pampered? Sign us up! If you're looking to purchase hair care products as a gift look no further than Olaplex. They have several sets to choose from or products can be bought individually. We swear by their "bond building" ingredients and have noticed a substantial difference in our hair health. Another go-to hair product we can't live without is our Dyson hair dryer. It is engenieered to protect the hair from heat damage and dries our (long, thick, wavy) hair in half the time of a traditional dryer. It is a splurge, but worth every penny! Unfortunately, our hair post pregnancy was a struggle so we love these gift ideas.

Luxury Accessories

Is your mom into designer labels? If so, look no further than Adesso. This luxury designer resale company makes fashion affordable and attainable for a fraction of the original price tag. Their inventory is constantly changing so stay up to date with their newest pieces by following their instagram account. Sometimes simply lighting your favorite candle and reading a book in peace and quiet at the end of a long day is a form of self-care. Just like flowers, candles are a great gift idea even for the person who already has everything. Some of our favorites include Diptyque, Voluspa, and Capri Blue. Our newest obession, that was featured on a Hiccups and Heels Favorite Friday, is Decor Candles. This local, small and women owned business makes the most beautiful candles. Not only do they look stunning, but they smell phenomenal! They are 100% soy wax and the vessels are a true work of art. Decor Candles just launched beautiful citronella candles for summer too. A perfect gift for the women on your list who love to enjoy summer nights outside!

Boutique

We couldn't put together a gift guide without highlighting two Chicago brands that do ship nationwide. First up is Alice & Wonder boutique. This "pretty fun" shop sells the most stylish Midwest and Chicago clothing. For the mom that loves repping their hometown look no further! We are obsessed with their Chicago sweatshirts and the Midwest Honey matching lounge set. Next is REY to Z, another Chicago based brand that makes the most perfect customized hats. They have an entire MAMA line, but they make a hat for everyone in the family! We do recommend purchasing in advance since styles sell out and custom embriodary takes additional time. What mom isn't living in comfy sweats right now or needs to throw on a hat to hide their unwashed hair? Might as well help us look cute!

Comfy Wear

A comfy robe, cozy slippers, and matching pajamas are always a good gift idea! Who couldn't use an upgrade on these items? If you have ever used a Barefoot Dreams blanket you know how incredibly soft they are and now they make robes. The CozyChic unisex robe and CozyChic ribbed robe look so comfortable we may just buy one for ourselves. Some of our favorite slippers include The North Face ThermoBall, UGG Fluffette, and UGG Fluff Yeah Sandals. We suggest a fun pajama set from PJ Salvage, Spendid, In Bloom by Jonquil or Flora Nikrooz. Anytime we wear matching pajamas we feel like we really have our $%&* together! We selected all items and brands from Nordstrom because they have an amazing return policy, a great selection for exchanges and free gift wrapping. Often caregivers don't think to buy these items for themselves even though they are constantly buying them for others!

Skincare

No time for the spa, no problem. Bring the spa home with these skincare gift ideas for the special women in your life. Our favorite local woman owned shop, Scratch Goods, created intuitive product combo kits that makes gifting even easier. We recommend the mask starter kit and self-care kit. All products are locally sourced, handmade, sustainable, natural and food grade. Scratch Good is part of our daily skincare routine and always comes to mind when we need a gift! Typically we wouldn't suggest purchasing makeup, especially foundation, for someone else because color matching can be extremely difficult.
