We are on a quest this summer to beat the heat and you can only do that with WATER PARKS! On our mission to find and visit new suburban water parks, we found FLICK! The Flick Outdoor Aquatic Center is Glenview Park District's outdoor pool. What makes this park different than every other waterpark...THE FIVE-POOL feature!

  • A large zero-depth play pool with interactive spray play features and a youth play structure

  • A 25-yard, eight-lane activity/lap pool

  • A diving well with two drop slides and a three meter and one meter driving boardA separate fenced-in kiddie pool area with slide and spray features

  • A high-energy, interactive spray area and splash down pool for our two GIANT flume water slides

  • Bathhouse with family changing rooms and locker rooms

Since our kids are 2, we spent a majority of our visit in the Tot Spot pool. The water was warm, the pool had spray features and a frog slide. Depth went up to their chest in the deepest part of the pool. The kids felt totally independent walking by themselves and splashing around! During our visit we also journeyed into the activity pool which has tons of life vests onsite for your little ones. We stayed in the 4 foot area and the kids had fun swimming and kicking throughout the pool.

During the lifeguard designated breaks, we were able to dry off under umbrellas and have some snacks packed from earlier in the day. Food and beverages are also available at the onsite Garden Grill.

Overall the pool was very clean, and there were several lifeguards in each area. This made us feel at ease especially since we have small children. If you are looking for a pool to relax at during the summer, there are tons of deck seats available to get your tan on!  There is even a park located near by and perfect for staying dry. If you are looking for a water park where the entire family can have fun, this is absolutely the spot!!
